Kuckuck-Restaurant-Cafe in Matrei in Osttirol

Very nice service, great atmosphere. However, the pizza does not work. Pizza salami = ground topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella and salami. Result: bottom thin but hard like a board. Tomato sauce was punctual, beginning in the lower perception area, mozzarella was available, salami neat and good. The dining experience was also disturbed by a knife, which should not be called a knife, so that I could not even kill a cucumber. The floor was underground, considering that this location advertises original Italian stone oven pizza. I have already eaten many original Italian pizzas, this was far from original Italian. Luigi would get a howler, just from the floor. If the maker of this pizza is Italian, which I do not believe, then he was chased out of Italy. Horrible, the weirdest pizza ever! Only bright spot the ambience and the staff. Very friendly people. But this restaurant is not good for eating. No idea how the many positive reviews came about, the shop did not convince me.

Pizzeria and lounge with a different ambience in the middle of Matrei. The actual upstairs restaurant was already full, but we were offered to eat in the downstairs lounge. Very friendly staff, very good Italian pizza.

Best pizza in Matrei

In addition to the attentive staff and the friendly and fast service, which is unfortunately not too often today, we ate here 2 wonderful pizzas. What inspired us - the dough thin and crispy, yet not dry. Tasty a pleasant fine touch of the charcoal stove. The topping in relation to the dough base just right. Even if tastes are different - for us they were just perfect. To Sprüberstreuen we indulged in a chocolate mousse, which also left nothing to be desired. This pizzeria is an absolute recommendation! We will gladly come again.

Worst Pizzeria ever !! you have to wait for more than 70 minutes to get your not so complicated pizza at the table. Waitress don’t mind. She thinks it’s normal I guess. People arriving 20 minutes later get their pizza earlier. Last time they saw me there. 😡

To the rating of Roland I would like to say that I know that at the time he made his bad experience a spare pizza chef was there because the actual pizza cooker has been down for a while! Haben mehr als eine Stunde auf die Pizzen gewartet, es gab nicht mal eine Entschuldigung dafür, die Pizzen waren dann überbelegt und sind uns lange im Magen gelegen.

Here we are every day just grabbing terrace with the tastiest cappuccino and delicious little snacks and friendly staff.

Toilets.Very dirty. Nobody is cleaning the toilet here? What do I pay for my food for? In the pub. The smell. Old oil. The ambience, shabby, musty. Unique. Bad. Have ordered. Ordered food. Waiter was not friendly in my opinion. But you have to judge that yourself. Self. You should definitely leave the restaurant here. I was withdrawing money afterwards.

Awesome pizza

Atmosphere very nice and service very friendly. However, the pizza was just okay and in a place that is called family-friendly, I would have expected a kids menu / dishes - after all, there was a small portion.
